What are your health and fitness goals?
I want to be fit and strong so that when I eventually have children, I’m in good shape and super healthy.
What made you join uFit?
Having been out of exercise for a number of years, I needed to get ass back in shape as feeling out of breath going up stairs was ridiculous! I’d also gone a bit loose after getting married and got happy fat – haha! Had to sort my lifestyle out altogether!
What changes have you noticed since you started training with us?
I have abs! Haha! My fitness levels have definitely got better. I’ve got more stamina – I used to hate running but now I’m fallen in love and am starting to go for longer without dying! I have more energy. It’s weird but exercise makes me really happy!
What would you say to anyone who is contemplating joining uFit?
Don’t think about it – just do it!! If you know you need to change your lifestyle and you need to get your shit together, don’t hesitate! Sort it out now! It’s all in your hands. Taking the first step is the hardest and you’ll be nervous and scared but we were all there once upon a time – and we haven’t looked back. And when you start seeing results, it will only motivate you even more.
What is the biggest tip(s) you would give someone looking to improve their health and wellness?
Stop thinking about it and talking about it – put it all into action! It’s easier than you think and more fun than you think. Being healthy is not boring. You can still have chocolate or a burger – nothing has to end completely. This should eventually become your normal life – not a phase or a diet! When you start feeling good within yourself you’ll see how much your body loves it:
What one thing do you believe has made the greatest change to your health?
I think he fact I did this lifestyle change with my husband has made a massive difference as we have the same mentality when it comes to food and exercise. We help drive each other and support one another. I think if it was me on my own doing this it would be much harder as not having the support especially when you’re living together would make me less motivated. Plus I can’t be asked cooking separate meals! Haha! UFit has also played a HUGE part. When the studio closed, I did no exercise until it re-opened. Whilst my diet was good I wasnt working out. I didn’t have the motivation to find anywhere else to work out as I was so happy with UFit and the trainers there – I felt comfortable there and was able to be myself. I didht want to start that again. And CrossFit just seemed not “warm” enough for me. As soon as I heard Sam was starting again, I jumped at the chance! And I love him for it!! You brought that fire back in me and I’m more hyped than I’ve ever been. Especially with Lee pushing us – he’s a great inspiration!
What has been your best experience at uFit so far?
Oh god – that’s hard!! Too many to choose from! Every session I learn something different about myself and my love for the uFit fam grows. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made (apart from my hubby! Haha)
